Bishop David Abioye has started a new church after retiring from Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel. Abioye announced the launch of his new church on his official social media platform, revealing that Sunday morning services will begin on May 4 at 8:00 AM. “Exciting news! By the grace of God, starting next Sunday, our service is moving to the morning, 8:00am.
It’s a new day for you—come ready to be blessed mightily in Jesus’ name,” Abioye wrote. “Mark your calendars, set your alarms—we can’t wait to see you there! Tag someone you’re inviting!” he added. Abioye previously served as vice president of Living Faith Church before he and Thomas Aremu retired in October 2024.
This followed a review of the church’s leadership policy which set the official retirement age at 55. At the time of their retirement, Aremu was 67 years old and Abioye was 63.
