In the midst of widespread concern over AI’s impact on job losses, Tailor Brands, an AI-powered business building platform, has announced the rollout of its new Tailor AID (Artificial Intelligence Displacement) Grants.
Specifically designed to help the growing number of U.S. workers displaced by artificial intelligence, these grants represent a unique mindset shift in many of the conversations surrounding AI. This $1 million fund is designed to help displaced workers find a new path forward as entrepreneurs, allowing them to leverage AI as an opportunity to grow their own business.
Turning Displacement Into Opportunity
The World Economic Forum
reports that 40% of employers expect to use AI automation to reduce their workforce, displacing 92 million workers worldwide between 2025 and 2030. Others project even larger disruptions, with Goldman Sachs predicting that
300 million jobs worldwide could be fully automated by 2030. For many workers, particularly in tech and marketing, those projected displacements have already
become a reality.
As Yali Saar, CEO and founder of
Tailor Brands explains, “There is no denying that AI is replacing jobs at a rapid pace. It is no longer a question of if, but when. We are on the verge of the biggest shift in the job market in decades, and all signs point to a future where more people will start businesses because, for many, it will become the only viable path forward.”
To that end, the Tailor AID Grants offer a comprehensive suite of resources to help recently displaced workers navigate the process of starting their own business. Grant recipients receive a complete LLC formation (aside from state filing fees), a full branding suite that includes AI-generated logos, domain and website resources and access to first-year
business banking and bookkeeping tools.
In addition to these essential resources, grant recipients also receive access to Tailor Brands’ Business Coaching Program, annual compliance support, an EIN and a 1-year
registered agent. All of the resources are provided to grant recipients at no cost, giving them a valuable leg up as they go through the process of starting their own business.
One aspect that makes Tailor Brands unique is how it
utilizes AI in these and other services through the use of its proprietary “Guidance Engine,” which assesses new businesses and then develops a customized plan based on the specific needs of that business.
“Our AI tools are
designed to empower entrepreneurs every step of the way as they build their business,” Saar says. “AI means that an individual entrepreneur can have the capabilities of an entire department. So many of the tasks involved in getting a business up and running can feel overwhelmingly complex, especially when you’re just starting out. But by having AI assistance throughout the process, you can move forward with confidence and enjoy a much more streamlined way of doing things.”
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for the Tailor AID Grants, individuals must complete a short
form on the Tailor Brands website. Eligibility is
limited to residents of the United States who were laid off within the last 90 days because of AI-driven workforce reductions.
As such, individuals who apply for a grant must also supply proof that their layoff was AI-related. This could include an official termination letter, a note from a manager or a verified
news report describing AI’s role in the layoff.
Once approved, grant recipients simply need to activate their business kit to begin utilizing the full suite of AI-powered resources that Tailor Brands is offering through the grant program.
“AI is causing significant disruptions, but it doesn’t have to be viewed as the enemy to your career and livelihood,” Saar says. “When you use it to support your own entrepreneurial goals, it can become a powerful tool that helps you get through the administrative side of things more efficiently so you can focus on the other activities that will help grow your business.”
In Saar’s view, AI can actually help more
Americans unlock their goal of becoming entrepreneurs. Gallup reports that
62% of Americans would rather be their own boss than work for someone else. Despite this, myriad factors keep the majority of these people from actually starting their own business, including a lack of money, needing to learn more about managing a business and concerns about regulations and government red tape.
With AI guidance, many of the knowledge and regulatory concerns that would otherwise hold back would-be entrepreneurs can become much less of a barrier.
A New Wave of Entrepreneurship
AI job losses are unlikely to diminish anytime soon. But for those who have experienced an AI-related layoff and want to take their future in their own hands, the Tailor AID Grants appear to be a worthwhile opportunity. By streamlining the path to
financial independence through entrepreneurship, this grant program is showing how AI can be an asset for even the newest entrepreneurs.
Those who learn to leverage AI to support their own independent business efforts may ultimately become the biggest winners of the AI revolution — even more so than the organizations that originally laid them off.
