When Callagy was a child, doctors told his mother he would go blind. For most people, such news destroys hope. Callagy made a silent promise instead: I will never go blind on the inside. As his eyesight faded from the rare degenerative condition retinitis pigmentosa, he refused to let the world grow dimmer. Callagy excelled in baseball, achieved academic success, and later turned to law and entrepreneurship, driven by an inner determination that outpaced his physical challenges and limitations.
In 1997, with his blindness worsening and debt increasing, Callagy started his first law firm. Two years later, it grew into an eight-figure business. Three and a half years later, he sold it for a multiple of seven figures as the sole equity partner.
