The European Commission (EC) has honoured the winners and finalists of the 10th European Prize for Women Innovators. The accolade praises women pioneers in technology, biotechnology, sustainable, and health sectors who have made significant contributions through innovative solutions and transformative leadership.

These awards act as a catalyst to inspire gender diversity in the traditionally male-dominated sectors. The EC clearly values fostering such innovation and diversity across Europe, demonstrating a commitment to an inclusive entrepreneurial landscape.

The Commissioner for Innovation underlined the importance of this accolade marking a decade of recognizing women’s contributions across Europe. The Commissioner praised the efforts of these female pioneers, establishing a pathway for future generations.

He further highlighted the importance of these sectors in driving economic growth, emphasizing that acknowledging and supporting women in these fields enhances performance and productivity throughout Europe. He also expressed gratitude for those promoting women’s participation in innovation and reiterated his appreciation for the winners and finalists.

The awards comprised three categories: Women Innovators, Rising Innovators, and EIT Women Leadership. The winners included Rana Sanyal, María González Manso, and Yuliia Bialetska. The event was a resounding success with each deserving winner being acknowledged.

The accolades are a testament to the key roles women play in achieving the European Union’s objectives, advancing innovative projects that stimulate economic growth, and laying the groundwork for future innovations.
