Unmistakable: Are You?

Are you unmistakable? Here’s what I mean. When something is unmistakable, it’s so distinctive that nobody else could have done it but you. It’s immediately recognized as something that you did. It has your stamp on it.

What is Unmistakable?

Ever seen a phone designed by Apple or a car designed by Mercedes?

Just a quick glance at these distinct brands and you know exactly who they are. They are boldly unmistakable.

And you can be, too.

But oftentimes, aspiring entrepreneurs worry far too much about what other people are doing instead of just focusing on what makes us unique. That’s where the trouble begins.

In an effort to model the success of others, we end up mimicking.

Consider a movement like Humans of New York.

These incredibly original photos of everyday people were an inspiration to the social media community and as a result, copycats popped up everywhere.

If you do a search you’ll find a “Humans of” project for nearly every major city in the world. However, none of those “me too’s” have had anywhere near the same degree of success as the original.

This is where you can clearly see the value of being “1 of 1.”

If you want to be successful in today’s oversaturated, results-driven society, my good friend Srini Rao is a man you need to know.

Srini is the host of the massively successful podcast TheUnmistakable Creative — where he’s thoughtfully interviewed some of the world’s most influential thought leaders  from Tim Ferriss to Seth Godin to explore what makes extraordinary people unique.

And now he’s put all his experience from interviewing over 600 of the world’s most brilliant people into an incredible book:

Behold: Unmistakable: Why Only Is Better Than Best.

The book is officially dropping tomorrow and I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t pumped to get mine.

(Ok, I am lying a leeeetle bit. Srini sent me a copy a few weeks ago and I LOVED it. I ordered like 6 or 7 more copies for family members. I always do that when I find a book that really strikes me.)

If you’re in the same boat that I was a few years ago, then you know how agonizing it can be to know that you have something to give the world….but not know *what* that something is. I’d be willing to bet my left nut that what you’re looking for is a way to stand out from the crowd. A way to be original. A way to be…dare I say it…Unmistakable.

Srini’s new book will teach you how to separate yourself from the pack and be so good that you never have to compete again.
