Derek Baron aka Wandering Earl,  has been traveling the world since 1999 and started with just $1500 in his pocket.  His original plan was to backpack around Southeast Asia for three months before returning home to begin a career.

Almost 6,000 days on the road and 93 countries later, he’s one of the biggest travel bloggers in the world, a successful affiliate marketer, and has his own tour company.

Derek’s lifestyle serves as inspiration to anyone who yearns to see the world. Through his blog he uses his own experiences to prove that long-term travel does not have to be a crazy fantasy. Some of those experiences include:

  • Living in Romania
  • Learning spanish in Mexico
  • Working on cruise ships for income while traveling the world
